Financial planning

  Finances for company from RobynScarlett2

Business model

Who will help you? KEY PARTNERS   The professional business partnerships that I would be looking to establish would be with a company who sells liquid latex called Liquid Latex Direct. They have stated that their liquid latex is imported directly from Malaysia and their supplier is a reliable source. They have also stated that they include no animal products of by-products in their products and so they are vegan-friendly. When purchasing silicone for my business venture, I would have to do a lot of research to ensure that the supplier I'm purchasing my resources from is an ethical source and my values are aligned with theirs. Smooth-On is a company that offers a wide range of different brands that sell skin safe silicone. However, it is difficult to find any information on where they source their products from and what ingredients are included in the products. How do you do it? KEY ACTIVITIES   I will need...

Mission and vision statement

The vision statement for my business is; "Scarlett SFX will establish a quality of product that is both affordable for those who don't have masses of funding available, and is of the highest quality - becoming the supplier for independent businesses and individuals." The mission statement of my business is; "Rebuilding the relationship between customer and businessperson, and supplying institutions and individuals with custom commissioned products that are affordable."

My company logo and its development

I wanted my company logo to be simple but showcase exactly what my company was about. I knew that I didn't want any bright or neon-like colours as they didn't follow the aesthetic of the business which was more dark and serious. The idea I had for my logo was to appear unusual with weird features. I created my logo using a mouse on Photoshop. I didn't want to use the initials of my business, and wanted to show my creativeness. I first created an alien head like shape with a thick white line so that it would stand out against the black background. Using white against a black background makes the image stand out and be very eye-catching. Once I had a shape that I was happy with, I began to add the details. My logo was going to be a face, so I then thought of what different types of ears there were. Something that I want to specialise in within my business is horns, and so I thought it would be good to instead replace one ear with a horn to make my logo more asymmetric and odd...

Business plan feedback

After researching businesses that were involved in the same market as my business is, I discovered a local business that was incredibly successful. Unfortunately - due to the pandemic - the doors of 3D Creations were forced to close. However, Ian Westbrook, founder of 3D Creations, carries on his work on a much smaller scale by designing props for his customers. I contacted Mr Westbrook via email to ask for feedback on my business plan which documents the most vital information about my business idea. Follows the list of the improvements he mentioned that I could do. Some of these improvements are useful, while others aren't applicable to my business. For example, I won't use the normal advertising methods that many larger corporations use. I will build an online portfolio of my art that consists of both pieces that are to do with my business and the art that I produce outside of a business setting. Having active social medias that showcase all my work is incredibly useful as ...
